Privacy policy
What we collect, why we need it, and what we never do with it.

What we collect
Three things: your account details (email, and your name and photo if you add them), your learning data (answers, words learned, progress, streak), and basic technical data (browser, device type, approximate region) that keeps the service running.
Voice recordings
When you do a speaking exercise, your recording is sent for analysis and deleted straight afterwards. It is kept only if you explicitly allow it, and you can withdraw that permission at any time in your profile settings.
Why we use this data
To run the lessons, to decide when a word should come back for review, and to show you your own progress. We also look at aggregate statistics — how many people finish an episode, which exercises are too hard — to improve the course.
What we never do
We do not sell your data, we do not hand it to advertisers, and we do not show ads. Your answers and recordings are not shown to other learners.
Services we rely on
Sign-in through Google or Apple (they tell us only your email and basic profile), file storage for media, and a speech analysis service for pronunciation feedback. Each of them receives only what that specific task needs.
Storage and security
Traffic runs over an encrypted connection and passwords are stored as hashes, so nobody — us included — can read them. Access to the database is limited to the people who maintain the service.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data or delete your account at any time. Deleting an account removes your progress, your word list and your recordings; aggregate statistics that cannot identify you may remain.
Children
The service is intended for people aged 14 and over. If a younger person uses it, a parent or guardian should agree to this policy on their behalf.
Changes to this policy
If something material changes, we will say so on this page and inside the app before the change takes effect.
